Brunswick- Bernadette H. Dugal, 94, of Brunswick, died Friday, March 25, 2016 at Horizons Rehab & Living Facility with her family by her side. She was a faithful soul, wonderful wife, devoted & proud mother and an exceptional grandmother to three very fortunate grandchildren and one great-grandchild. She will be remembered for her ever present smile.

She was born in Brunswick on March 2, 1922 a daughter of Arthur J. and Marianne Thibeault Gagne Sr. She attended St. John’s School and graduated from Brunswick High School in 1938.

On May 25, 1946, she married Robert U. Dugal at St. John’s Catholic Church and they made their home in Brunswick.

Bernadette worked at W T Grant, Gosselin’s Furniture, Ford Cleaners, Pleasant Street Market and Economy Market. She enjoyed taking care of her family, a blind sister-in-law and her husband with tender loving care. She enjoyed cooking, baking, sewing, knitting, making rosaries for missionaries and special care packages, fund raising for her parish by providing the home for beanos and visiting the sick. She was a communicant of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church where she was a Ladies of St. Anne; Society of Mary; the Mission Club; and the rosary making club. She also enjoyed traveling with her husband. Bernadette always looked forward to and relished visits with family and friends, especially at holiday time with a packed house.
