Bruce W. Burr, 63, of Dresden passed away on Wednesday April 13,2016.  He was born  on December 6, 1952 in Scranton, PA to Joseph W. Burr and Eleanor B. (Bailey) Burr, and attended Morse High School. 

As a young man he grew up in Small Point, much of his time was spent at Hermit Island working on the wharf and spending time with his friends.
He was employed at Bath Iron Works for more than 3 decades before retiring in 2006.
In 1974 Bruce moved to Dresden and became active in the volunteer fire department. He then got his EMT certificate and helped with training other members.

He was an avid outdoorsman, deer hunting was his favorite season and was considered a "holiday" to him.
Bruce was a kind and generous man who would help anyone in need, and enjoyed doing special things for those he loved. He will be greatly missed.

He is survived by his sister Elena Burr and nieces Jamie Plummer and Krista Burr as well as aunts, uncles nd cousins.

He was predeceased by both of his parents and his sister Lynda (Burr) Jackson

At Bruce's request there will be no funeral service. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
