Constance "Connie" Priscilla (Gaudreau) Lamarre

Brunswick – Constance “Connie” Priscilla Lamarre, 83, a lifetime resident of Brunswick, Maine passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Wednesday, June 29, 2016 at Mid Coast Hospital. She was born in Lewiston, on December 29, 1932, the daughter of Albert & Delia (Bourgoin) Gaudreau. She attended St. John’s Catholic School and graduated from Brunswick High School, class of 1950.
On June 9, 1956, she married her true love and best friend, Richard “Dick” Lamarre, as the couple recently celebrated 60 years of marriage.
Connie was a former employee of Bowdoin College, working in the book store for many years, however her heart belonged at home. She always considered herself a wife and a mother first. She raised 2 children, with love and compassion. In her spare time she volunteered a lot of her time to St. John’s Church, where she was a lifetime parishioner and a Daughter of Isabella. She was an active member in support of St. John’s School, organized many parish dances in the 70’s & 80’s, was a member of the St. John’s Bazaar Committee, and began the longtime church fund raiser… the Century Club. She was a woman with a big heart who loved everyone, and a friend to everyone who knew her!
Connie leaves behind her husband, Dick of Brunswick; 2 children, Ann Armstrong, 57 of Sacramento, CA and Richard Lamarre, 51, and his wife, Suzanne of Gold Canyon, Arizona; 5 grandchildren, Christa, Joshua, Richard, Shawn, and Alissa; 2 great grandchildren, Charles and Kobe.
A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, July 5, 2016 at 11:30am at St. John’s Cemetery, Brunswick.
