Doris A. Wallace, 91 of Nashua, New Hampshire and Phippsburg, Maine passed away peacefully on February 19, 2017 at the community Hospice House in Merrimack, New Hampshire.  Doris was born in Brooklyn, New York to the late Estelle and Harry Apgar on May 29, 1925.

Doris was predeceased by her spouses Frank W. Ledamun in 1985 and Donald I. Wallace in 2013 and her siblings Willard Apgar, Charles Apgar, Helen Starrett and Grace Staples.  In addition, Donna Therriault and Daniel Wallace.

Doris is survived by her daughter and son in law Priscilla and Michael Birmingham of Nashua, New Hampshire, Bruce Wallace of Phippsburg, Maine, Janice and John Lander of Portland, Maine; grandchildren, Sarah Birmingham and James Heino, Sean Birmingham and Maggie Harper, Megan and Jason Lander, David and Michael Therriault and Nathaniel Wallace;  great grandchildren, Emma, Owen, McKenzie, Benjamin, Katherine, Max, Evelyn and numerous nieces and nephews. 

Per her wishes there will be no calling hours.  A graveside service and burial will be held at Morningside Cemetery, Phippsburg, Maine in the spring at a date to be determined.

Arrangements are being handled by the David E. Desmond & Son Funeral Home, 638 High Street, Bath, Maine.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Community Hospice House, 210 Naticook Road, Merrimack, New Hampshire, 03054.

The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the Community Hospice House and staff for their support in Doris’ final days.  Doris will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
