West Bath – Elizabeth Rosalie (Morse) Malcolm, 77, passed away on October 4, 2015 after a long illness.  She was married to Perry, the love of her life, for 60 years.  On March 19, 1938, Claire and Fred Morse walked down the road in North Bath to the doctor (after a short sit on a snow bank to rest) and welcomed Rosalie into the world.  Rosalie attended Morse High School, making many lifelong friends, her bright smile and bubbly disposition enjoyed by all.

Rosalie is predeceased by her son, Steven; mother, Claire; father, Fred; brothers, Fred (Teddy) and Charles; and a sister Clara.

She leaves behind her husband Perry; sons, Perry (his wife Ruth), Rick and Timothy; a daughter, Susan; brothers, Frank and Bruce; sisters, Myrtle and Freda; 4 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren, countless nieces, nephews and cousins.

With a door always open, and ear ready to hear or a shoulder to cry on, Rosalie enjoyed many meaningful relationships with her large extended family.  She shared her wisdom and knowledge with all who would listen (even if you think you didn’t need it).  Most recently, artistic endeavors filled Rosalie’s days.  Whether painting, quilting or sewing, love remained the primary ingredient.  Selling her creations at fairs and on eBay brought her many hours of joy.  Her arts and crafts occupy the best decorated homes!  Rosalie lived most of her life with her husband in West Bath, raising her children and taking care of her family.  A surrogate mother to many neighborhood kids, the Malcolm front yard customarily overflowed with screaming children, laughter, and commotion.  Her absence is felt in the silence.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, October 9, 2015 at 10:30am at Orchard Hill Cemetery in West Bath.
