Germaine B. St. Pierre

Topsham – Germaine B St.Pierre, 102, formerly of Mallett Drive, died on Friday, March 16, 2018 at the Mid Coast Senior Health Center in Brunswick.  She was born in Lewiston, on November 24, 1915 the daughter of Alphonse & Roseanna (Gagne) St. Onge.

She was married to William St. Pierre in April of 1941 and was predeceased by him on June 9, 1997.

Germaine worked at Health-Tex for over 33 years, being a supervisor for 30 of them. She was a member of the Daughters of Isabella in Brunswick, the 55 Plus Club and was also a lector at St. John's since she retired in 1980. She volunteered at the soup kitchen and for a time was a foster grand-parent at Pineland Center. She gave so much of herself to many.

Knitting and needle point were just some of her passions. She loved walking with her friends, playing cribbage with her son's and spending time with her family. Germaine lived life to the fullest and was loved and respected by all who knew her. She will be missed by many.

She leaves behind her daughter Lorraine Haney and her life partner Bob Wilcox of Parish, Fl., her son Francis and his wife Rebecca of Sarasota, Fl, son William (Sonny) and his wife Patsy of Topsham,ME., and her son Raymond and his wife Rita of Bowdoinham,ME., 10 Grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.

A sincere thank you goes out to the staff of Mere Point and Bodwell for the love and care given to our mother during her stay.

Visiting hours will be held on Thursday May 24 from 4-6pm at Demers Desmond Funeral Home, 34 Cushing St. Brunswick. A Mass of Christian Burial in Germaine's honor will take place on Friday, May 25 at 11:00am at All Saints Parish, St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 39 Pleasant St in Brunswick.
