Freeport - Heather Marie Lefebvre, 45,  Passed away on Thursday, October 31, 2013 with her family by her side.  She was born in Royal Oak, Michigan on October 5, 1968, the daughter of Edward & Jane (Fitzgerald) Stearns.  She graduated from Georges Valley High School in Thomaston, Maine, Class of 1986.  She went on to further her education graduating in 1990 with a Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Southern Maine, Gorham and in 2000 with her Masters Degree in Education.

On June 24, 1995 she married Garett Edward Lefebvre at the Cathedral of Immaculate Conception, in Portland.  The couple resided in Freeport to raise their family.

Heather was employed by Brunswick Public Schools as an Elementary School teacher from 1991-2001 when her twin girls were born and she wanted to be an at home mom, recently returning back to work on a part time basis at Bass Shoe in Freeport.

Heather loved summers at the family camp on Little Sebago Lake, spending time with family and friends there as often as she could. Volunteering at her boys football games in the snack shack and anywhere else help was needed.  She always found time to volunteer in each of her children's classrooms at Freeport Public Schools.  Loved to help teach kids to read, being an avid reader herself, she would often check out books at the library and reading each one in a day.

Heather leaves behind her husband Garett of Freeport; her children, Edward Garett Lefebvre, Reilly Jane Lefebvre, Kerry Marianne Lefebvre, Cort Joseph Lefebvre, all of Freeport; a brother,Peter Stearns, Hampton Falls, NH; 2 sisters, Katie Stearns-Collier, Portland, & Jeanne Costigan, Durham; and nieces and nephews, Adam Stearns, Casey Stearns, Clint Lefebvre, Evelyn Costigan.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to all the friends & family who helped out with the children, giving them rides to their events and helping out with dinner.  And to the nurses and case managers at Chans Home Healthcare, Maine Medical Center, where she spent so many weeks, InterMed Yarmouth and Dr. Pierce, and Bodwell Hospice at Mid Coast in Brunswick.

A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held on November 07, 2013 at 11:00 AM, at St. Jude Catholic Church, Freeport, Maine.  A small reception downstairs afterwards.

In lieu of flowers the family’s wishes are to make a memorial donation in Heather’s name to:
