Brunswick – Walter O. McMahan, was born in Athens, AL on January 15, 1923, the son of Arthur & Della (Ogle) McMahan.

Walter was predeceased by his parents, 2 brothers & 8 sisters.

On July 1, 2016, Walter went to be with Jesus, his family & friends.

He worked most of his adult life at the Ford Motor Company’s Sterling Plant in Michigan. Retiring at the young age of 60, he moved to Clearwater, FL with his wife Edith, who passed away in 1989.

He met Madeline Labbe on a blind date in 1995 & 4 years later they married in Las Vegas & then remarried at Light of Christ Catholic Church in Clearwater. He was dearly loved & will be greatly missed by Madeline, her children & grandchildren who called him “Mac Daddy”.

Walter also leaves behind special nieces; Patsy (Tommy) Dooley in Columbia, TN; Laney (Bill) Runions in Hohenwald, TN; Carol Baker in Harrison TWP, MI; Doris (Frank) Purles in Melbourne, FL & several more nieces & nephews in Alabama.

Walter’s body will be laid to rest in Athens, AL.
