Colin Bradford, an amazing and wonderful person who brought joy and love to everyone he met, passed away from an unexpected recurrence of a childhood medical condition at the age of 20 on July 20, 2019.
Colin was born September 2, 1998 in Brunswick, ME. He graduated from Morse High School in 2017, where he was a varsity member of the Golf and Tennis teams and performed in Rock Band. Colin especially loved Science and entered the University of Maine at Farmington in September of the same year to pursue a teaching degree in secondary education, with the hope that he would one day return to Morse as a Science teacher. He excelled in his studies and achieved Honors standing when he was named to the Dean's list while enrolled.
Colin had a passion for music and you could often find him playing his guitar, whether alone or with friends. His love of guitar led him to build an eclectic collection of guitars, pedals and amps that he was very proud of. His passion for music shined brightly in college as well, where he became the Director of Rock Music at WUMF, the UMF radio station, and the co-founder of the NITRO radio show. Colin enjoyed many sports, especially golf, and could be found playing a round with family and friends on many a summer afternoon. Colin lived life to the fullest, never afraid to try something new, and touched the lives of so many. His beautiful smile and the love and warmth that radiated from his heart will forever be cherished by all who knew him. We love you with all our hearts, Colin, and you will always be remembered.
Colin is survived by his parents, Dawn and Paul, his sister Chloe, his girlfriend, Emily Cheney, his cousin Wade Bradford, his Uncle Chris and Aunt Nicki Bradford, his grandparents Ellen and Steve Smith, his Aunt Desa Triplett, his cousin Kyle Smith, and a multitude of friends and loved ones, both near and far.
A Celebration of Life for Colin will be held at the Bath Country Club on the Whiskeag Rd in Bath on Sunday, July 28th at 1:00pm. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Colin Bradford Scholarship Fund, Attn: Lauri Rainey, First Federal Savings & Loan, 125 Front Street, Bath, ME. Please dress comfortably.
