Constance R. Monroe age 71 of Lisbon Falls Maine lost her 13 month battle with cancer. She passed away at her home on 11/26/18 in her loving husbands arms.
Connie was the daughter of Francis Lavallee and Juliette Therien and born in Brunswick Maine.
Connie is survived by her husband James Leroy Monroe formerly of Klickitat Washington. James came to Brunswick Maine when he was 17 and was stationed at the Brunswick Naval Air Station. Soon after coming to Brunswick he and Connie met. She was determined she was going to marry him some day and that she did. They were the love of each others lives for 54 years.
Connie is also survived by their three daughters and their husbands. Pennie and Ernie Klinger of Lisbon Falls, Holly and Donald Boom of Lisbon and Nicole and Jim Ridlon of Topsham. She was pre deceased by her first daughter Cindy Monroe who became a angel in heaven at 9 month's old.
She is also survived by many Grand Children Christopher C, Dylan, Ashley, Tristin, Casey, Nicholas, Chris K., Nikki K. , Tyler, Kaitlin, Brittany, Taylor and Anna. She is also survived by four Great Grand Children Kaydence, Brinley, Tucker and Addalyn.
Connie was a special lady and had several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews . A very elite group of them were extra specail to her and they were more like children, grand childen and great grand children Albin and his family, Becky, Tina, Bruce, Zach, Russell, Stacey, Sean and Lindsay, Brittany Shannon and their family.
She is also survived by a brother Roger Lavallee and his wife of Lisbon Falls and a sister Priscilla Barber and her husband of Ladysmith Wisconsin and several in laws on her husbands side. Connie was pre deceased by several brothers and one sister.
Connie worked for many years in the Bath school system as a noon time aid helping young children on the play ground and in the lunch room. She also worked at the Pine Tree Society in Bath in the mail room and also for the times record.
Family meant every thing to her and she took may others under her wings too many to name. She is a true guardian angel to all of us and you know who you are.
Please join us at a Celebration of Life at Desmonds Funeral Home 638 High Street Bath Maine on Monday 12/3/2018 starting from 12 to 2 with a small ceremony at 1 pm. Immediately following the service will be a reception at the American Legion Post 79 Foreside Road Topsham Maine from roughly 2 to 6. If you want to bring any thing you are welcome but please no alchol.
