Frances Snow, 93, of Port Orange passed away peaceably of natural causes on October 8, 2017 at Harbor Oaks Elderly Care. She was born on April 14, 1952 in Bowdoinham, Maine Frances was married to Forrest Dana Fides Sr. with whom she had three sons: Forrest Dana Fides Jr., Lincoln Minot Fides and Peter Jon Fides II.

An accomplished business woman, Frances was manager of the Maine east coast Avon district (a time when ladies wore hats, gloves, and stockings) driving 2500 to 3000 miles a month, frequently in snow and foul weather. After moving to Florida in 1959, Frances married Albert Snow and continued with Avon until she retired in 1971. She then went to work with New York Life Insurance where she worked until well into her 80’s. She earned many awards as a certified life insurance underwriter. Frances enjoyed frequent summers in Maine where she owned a home in Damariscotta and traveled to Europe many times.

She was a member of the Westminster By The Sea Church.

She is survived by her three sons; four grandchildren, Dr. Jessica Fides Aun, Ashley Fides Lima, Aaron Fides and Jonathon Fides. She has one great grandson Axel Forrest Lima; a brother, Malcolm Hatch of Brunswick, Maine.

Much loved, she will be greatly missed at family gatherings

A memorial service will be observed at graveside in June 2018 at Ridge Cemetery, Bowdoinham, Maine
