West Bath – Harry Michael Vanderwerf, 66, passed away on Monday, March 19, 2018. He was born on March 11, 1952 in Jersey City, NJ, the son of Harry & Aurora Vanderwerf.
Harry proudly served 2 years in the United States Marine Corps and was very patriotic. He was married to Karen Queen and the couple raised 2 sons, Matthew & Zachary.
He is also survived by a sister, Debbie & Rob Lopez, 3 brothers, Michael, Jim & Robert and his wife Gail; many nephews, cousins and grandchildren.
Harry worked at Brady Marine Shipyard in New Jersey. That experience landed him a job at Bath Iron Works. Soon the day to day monotony proved too much where he picked up self-employment & in the HVAC trade, family business for 30 years.
His hobbies included UBM, riding his Springier Softtail to Alaska and teaching motorcycle rider educational safety courses & also coaching bath Little League.

A time of Remembrance will be held at the American Legion in Bath from 2:00 – 6:00pm with a Celebration of Life Service at 3:00pm
