Brunswick – Henriette D. Bourgoin Coulombe, 84, passed away on June 1, 2018 at Avita of Brunswick. She was born on June 14, 1933 in Fleming, St. Leenard, New Brunswick, Canada. She was the daughter of Henry and Clarna Cyr Bourgoin.
In December of 1960 she immigrated to the United States of America and to Lewiston, Maine. She had friends from St. Leonard already living in Lewiston and they helped her to find work and they gave her a place to live.
Saturday nights they would go out dancing and it was at one of these dances she met the love of her life, Adolf C. Coulomb (Zeke). She called him “Hal”. They were married at St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, October 24, 1964 in Lewiston. After their marriage, they moved to Brunswick and made their home on Noble Street.
She worked at various shoe shops, Jay Brush Corp and Health Tex Inc.
She was predeceased by her husband, her parents, sister, Jeanette Cormier of Moncton, NB., and a baby brother who passed shortly after birth.
Surviving are her sister, Juilette and her husband Hector Nadeau of CT; cousins, nieces, nephews both in New Brunswick and New England and her friend, Susan Dionne of Brunswick. She will be also be sadly missed by her extended family: Eddie, Patty, Josh, Tiffany, Micheala Aube and Pat Overturf .
She will also be missed by Austin Aube, Adren and DreVon Jackson and Savannah Weed all of Brunswick.
Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, June 6, 2018 from 4:00 – 7:00pm at Demers-Desmond Funeral Home, 34 Cushing Street, Brunswick. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, June 7, 2018 at 11:00am at All Saints Parish, St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Brunswick.
