Jerry Howard Ritcheson

Jerry H Ritcheson, Sr. 71, of Lisbon Falls, Maine died peacefully at home Wednesday evening surrounded by family, after a long battle with lung cancer. He was born in Fort Worth, TX, August 2, 1947 to Ray Thornton and Gladys Grace Sample Ritcheson. He spent over twenty years in the US Navy as a parachute rigger (PR1) during the Vietnam War and beyond. After retiring from the USN he worked at Bath Iron Works as a Welder. Outside of his work he enjoyed spending time outdoors gardening. He loved animals (particularly horses and dogs) and was known to show up home with stray animals that became members of the family. Saturday mornings were often spent out antiquing collecting items not only for his home but for all of his friends and family.

He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Sandra, son and daughter-in-law Jay and Michelle Ritcheson of Durham, ME; his daughter and son-in-law Jodie and Jamie Noe of Saulsbury TN; and grandchildren Athena, Garrett, Lexi and Devan.

A memorial service for Jerry H. Ritcheson, Sr, who passed away December 19, 2918, will be held at the Amvets Post 13, 1049 Royalsborough Rd, Durham, ME 04222,  beginning at 3:00 on Saturday, January 12, 2019
