Patricia Booker Dudley died Thursday, April 13, 2017 at Hawthorne House, Freeport, ME. Patricia was 92 years old. She was predeceased by her husband of almost 65 years, Sidney Armour Dudley, who passed away February 21, 2017.

Patricia “Patty” was born on September 29, 1924 to George and Nellie Booker. She spent her early years in West Bath attending Grange and was a member of the Rainbow Girls. She proudly graduated from Morse High School in 1945. Patty married Sidney Dudley in 1952 and moved to Bath, Maine where she was a longtime resident. She loved making up her own silly jokes, singing funny songs, and penuchi fudge. She would spend hours wrapping Christmas presents with just the right bow and paper, each package a work of art. She loved the antics of Red Skelton, Carol Burnett, and shopping on QVC.  She loved Andy Williams’ version of Moon River and Frank Sinatra’s Fly Me To The Moon.

Patty loved gardening and was especially proud of her beautiful peonies, some of which she had transplanted and nurtured from her mother’s garden. She was unique, complicated, and endearing. She had a wonderful giggle and sense of humor even at the end of her life. She will be greatly missed by her family.

Patricia is survived by three daughters, Cheryl Dudley, Cynthia D. Seaman and her husband Charles from New Hampshire, and Melanie Chicoria and her husband Robert from Brunswick. She also leaves several grandchildren: Lenore Rohman, Benjamin Garbin, Timothy Garbin, Jotham Garbin, Zachary Garbin and their families, Jason Bancroft and his wife Asal from Massachusetts, Matthew Bancroft and his Fiancé Danielle from California, Jameson Bancroft and his wife Kathleen from New Hampshire, Trent Vellella, his wife Grace and their daughter Sidney from West Bath, along with several other Great Grandchildren.

Patty was also predeceased by several siblings; her brothers Mayland, Alpha, and Harland Booker, and two sisters Marilyn Genthner and Silvia Magno.

Patty and Sidney will be laid to rest together this summer in a private burial at Oak Grove Cemetery. It is only fitting as they spent their lives together, remained together at Freeport Place and Hawthorne House after leaving their long-time residence on Union Street in Bath, and so recently passed away one after the other. Sidney would be so happy to know his beloved wife Patty and he will be reunited together forever at this service.
