Brian Arthur Rumery

Sabattus – Brian A Rumery, 67, of Sabattus, formerly of Freeport, passed away on Thursday, May 26, 2022 at his home with his loving wife and daughter by his side.  He was born in Waterville, Maine, on February 5, 1955, the son of Gerald & Barbara (Cogswell) Rumery.  While growing up, Brian spent some time in Florida, moving back to Maine attending Freeport schools.  Brian enlisted in the United States Navy, and proudly served his county.  While overseas, Brian wrote many letters home to a girl he was “friends” with in school, Sandra Maberry.  Upon returning home, he made his friend his wife.  The two lovebirds were married on June 1, 1974 and the couple made their home in Freeport to raise their family. 

Brian was a jack of all trade.  He held many different jobs with his skills, but the one that he loved the most was being the E-Manager at the transfer station in Freeport.  He had a passion for what he was doing.  He made many friends at his work,  that he truly cherished.

Brian loved to cook for his family, go fishing and camping and loved to collect “things”.  He will be sadly missed by all those that loved him.

He is predeceased by his parents, a son, Dan; and a brother, Gene, sister, Sue-Ann

He leaves behind his wife, Sandra; daughter, Becky Allisot; brothers, Danny Rumery and Robert Cogswell; sisters, Donna Garces and Lois Lowe; grandchildren & Great Grandchildren, nieces & nephews
