Deborah Williams Obituary

Bath - Deborah, "Debbie” Williams of Bath passed away peacefully in her home on December 27, 2024 after a long illness.  She was 76 years old.

Debbie was born on August 30, 1948, in Biddeford Maine to Robert G Jones, previously deceased, and Lorraine Jones of Saco.  Debbie lived in Saco before moving to Phippsburg in 1965. Debbie met Franklin Danny Williams of Bath while attending Morse High School. They were married in March of 1969 and began their life together as “Debbie and Danny”.

Debbie worked as a telephone operator in Bath before joining Danny in New Mexico as he began his 24 year career in the Air Force. Their life in the Air Force brought them to several bases in several places; from New Mexico, to England, to Florida and Plattsburgh, NY. Debbie made lifelong friends from many places during this time. While stationed in England she and Danny welcomed their only child Thomas Glen.  Upon retirement from the service, the family returned to Bath to live.

Debbie took pride in her home “on the hill” in Bath. She enjoyed passing her time keeping house and cross stitching for her friends and family.  She and Danny were members of the Over The Hill 4 Wheelers Club, and they enjoyed riding and participating in Bath’s 4th of July parades. Debbie and Danny were members of the Corliss Street Baptist Church and made good friends with the members of the congregation. When the grandchildren, Mikayla and Marissa, came along, Debbie and Danny took an active role in raising them. Debbie was very proud of her granddaughters, and she was blessed to have them with her on Christmas Day before she passed.

Debbie will join her beloved husband Danny in heaven.  She leaves behind her son Thomas of Bath, her mother Lorraine Jones of Saco, and granddaughters Mikayala and Marissa Williams of Wiscasset.

Debbie will be missed by her sisters Judy Jones of Saco, Lynn Jones Hardies and husband Geoff of Salt Lake City, Pamela Jones Boston and husband Michael of Reading, Massachusetts, and Rebecca Jones Nason and husband Mike of Biddeford.  Debbie leaves behind several nieces and nephews as well as several great nieces and a great nephew.

In lieu of flowers please consider donating to the Corliss Street Baptist Church in Bath in her honor
