Dylan Simmons Obituary

Dylan James Simmons, 31, of Phippsburg, Maine, passed away far too soon, leaving behind a community of family and friends who loved him deeply. Born on July 10, 1994, Dylan grew up along the rugged Maine coast, where he found both comfort and purpose in the outdoors. He was raised for most of his life by his grandmother, Catherine Simmons, whose unwavering love and guidance shaped the man he became.

Dylan was an avid fisherman, happiest with a line in the water and the salt air on his face. He loved spending time with his friends — whether they were out 4‑wheeling through the woods, sharing stories around a fire, or heading into the fall mornings for a day of hunting. He had a way of bringing people together, creating laughter, and making even ordinary days feel memorable.

He is survived by his grandmother, Catherine Simmons, who played such a central role in his life; mother, Tabatha Peacock, and her husband, Christopher; and by his three sisters — Heather, Katelyn , and Jessica and 4 nephews, Matthew, Mason, Jaxson & Gavin — who will forever carry his memory in their hearts.

Dylan will be laid to rest alongside his father, Francis Simmons Jr., and his grandfather, Francis Simmons Sr., reunited with the two men whose lives and legacies are forever intertwined with his own.

Those who knew Dylan will remember his loyalty, his easy smile, and the way he showed up for the people he cared about. His absence leaves a quiet ache, but his spirit lives on in the memories he created and the lives he touched.

Service details will be shared by the family.
