My father, Al Payson, and "Brud" were close friends from Bowdoin. My father always spoke with the highest regard and great affection for his Polar Bear friends but Brud was on a level by himself. Dad was especially touched by the lengths Brud went to to get him recognition from the Maine Baseball Hall of Fame. Dad passed away in 2011, and I see this is the anniversary of Brud's passing, and so I hope it comforts you to think they are once again healthy and perfect.

So sorry for Brud;s loss. He was a great human being and outstanding scholar athlete. Though we were in different graduating classes, we had a special friendship on the baseball team. He was our captain and team leader. Goodbye dear friend..
