Elizabeth "Bess" Taft O'Donnell

Bridgton – Elizabeth “Bess” Taft O’Donnell, 68, passed peacefully on Sunday, June 1, 2025 in Bath, Maine. She was born in Providence, Rhode Island to the late Nelson R. and Marion W. Church. She had a happy childhood on the Samuel Clark Farm (now Kirkbrae) in Lincoln, Rhode Island where she developed her lifelong love of horses and animals. Her happiest days were with her chestnut mare, Gypsy.

She is survived by her loving son, John F. O’Donnell and the loves of her life, her grandson Marley and her granddaughter, Kinsley (Kiki) of Denmark, Maine. She is also survived by her sisters, Louisa Cicillini of North Kingstown, RI, Martha Lapierre of Lincoln, RI, Susan Capuano of Middletown, RI and her brother, Nelson (Randy) Church of Center Conway, NH. She also leaves several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Cynthia E. Famiglietti and Meredyth C. Church.

Remember Bess for her quick laugh, gentle nature and her love for Motown music. Private services will be held at Swan Point Cemetery in Providence, RI at a later date.
