Woolwich - Gail Madelyn Hall, 76, passed away peacefully at Midcoast Hospital on the evening of March, 16, 2021.
Gail was pre-deceased by her mother Madelyn Maynard, her brother Phillip Booker and sister-in-law Donna Booker, her sister Caroline Talbot, and her daughter Michele Hall.
Gail is survived by her husband of more than 45 years, Ralph Hall, as well as her two granddaughters Kierra Hall and Gabrielle Phillips.
Gail Madelyn Hall was born on December, 02, 1944 the daughter of Madelyn Maynard.
Gail attended Woolwich Central School and then graduated from Morse High School in 1964.
Gail had a variety of jobs including Eastland Shoe Factory, Home Health Care, and Walmart. She then retired due to disability.
Gail met the love of her life Ralph while working at Eastland Shoe Factory in Freeport, Maine. They spent more than 45 happy years of marriage together making unforgettable memories. Gail and Ralph raised and sold turkeys for a time as a hobby together. In fact, Gail lost her wedding ring to the inside of a turkey.
Gail was an expert on all things birds. She took great pleasure in spending hours outside in the sunshine just watching them. Her birdfeeders were never empty. She also had quite the green thumb and was known as the family’s plant whisperer. Gail loved to cook and bake, especially with her grandchildren. She always dreamed of traveling to Australia.
Gail opened her heart and home to a lifetime of beloved pets. Her love for animals was great: birds, dogs, and cats alike. She even bred miniature poodle puppies for a time. But her favorite pet, one she still spoke of to her last day, was her beloved cat Whiskers.
Gail cherished being a wife, mother, and grandmother. It brought her great joy and she always looked forward to the next visit, meal, and family gathering. Family was the most important thing to her.
Gail will forever be remembered and cherished by her husband Ralph Hall, and her two granddaughters Kierra Hall and Gabrielle Phillips.
A celebration of life will be arranged for late summer 2021. Please contact the family for details.
