Jacqueline M. Levasseur, 81, passed away peacefully on September 2, 2024 in Bath, Maine after an illness. Jackie was born on January 18, 1943 to Fred Morabito and Hilda Doran in Westbrook, Maine.
She studied at St. Bonaventure University and later graduated from Westbrook College. She had a long career as a Medical Technologist at Maine Medical Center in Portland, Maine.
She had four sons from her first marriage and later was re-married to Paul Levasseur. She was a long-time resident of Portland Maine, and later Limington and Farmington Maine. Jackie took great pleasure in the company of her grandchildren, tending her flower gardens and reading as many long books as possible.
She was predeceased by her parents, her husband Paul, and grandchildren Bailey and Mikayla Shields.
She is survived by her sister Kathleen “Kay” Travis (and husband Robert) of Casco, Maine and her sister Diane Morabito of Berkeley, California. Jackie is also survived by her sons Bernard “Jamie” Shields of Portland, Maine, Seth Shields (and wife Amy) of Westbrook, Maine, Devin Shields (and wife Thea Toole of Saint-Chrysostome, Quebec, Canada, and Kieran Shields (and wife Cathy) of Bath, Maine. She is also survived by six grandchildren and one great grandchild.
A private family memorial will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Jackie’s name can be made to the Red Cross.
