Your dad was a very, very special person to me. I'm the one who worked with him on moving to The Highlands, but we were good friends before that. We talked about St. John's, about his knowledge of Topsham Heights and how he would gladly set people straight on that! His devotion to your mom was so strong, as was his honesty, and his willingness to reach out to others. When I lost my job, he was one of the first to call me, and I never forgot that. Your Dad was a fine man. I knew him from Camp Keyes, and he never failed to stop by to visit with me when he came to "the Hill". He would always ask how my horse was, where I had been riding, how he made it through the winter, etc. We would also discuss the state of the world, country, and he would leave me with a suggestion of a good book to read - which I would do.
