A daughter of Clarence B and Myrtle B (MacFarlane) Clark. Ruth was raised and resided in Bath from the age of 8. Attending area schools, she graduated from Morse High School with the class of ’47.

She married Stephen J Collins and together they started their family of which they loved and cherished so much. Ruth always thought that her greatest accomplishment was her family and home and raised her children to love each other, themselves, their community and their country. She truly loved and lived life to the fullest “Yesterday is in the past, today is the gift and tomorrow is yet to be determined”.

Ruth always had a smile and a twinkle in her eye, along with a contagious laugh. She was an optimist and always looked for the good in everyone. She was a fantastic listener. If you had just met her, by the end you knew you had new friend.

Besides taking care of her family and parents, she was a very active member of The United Church of Christ in Bath. She wore many hats when there including: singing in the choir, flower director and helping with church dinners. If they needed a casserole or pie, Ruth could always be counted on. She was the PTA President and part of the Morse Football boosters club. Ruth also, selflessly donated her time to a suicide hotline, Democratic committee and a member of the Veteran of Foreign Wars Auxiliary just to mention a few of the many.

Ruth truly loved traveling with her husband “Stevie” both domestically and abroad to England, enjoying each new experience gathering warm loving memories.

Ruth is predeceased by her loving husband of 53 years Stephen J Collins Sr., and her brother Clarence B Clark Jr.

Sisters; Shirley Ann Clark McPhail, Vivian E Clark Kacey and her husband James. As well as 8 grandsons, 2 great grandsons and lots of friends.

This fine lady has certainly left her imprint on the world and will be sadly missed by all. Good night mom, we will see you tomorrow. “What is a day but merely a crystal of sand of time”.
