Stephanie Douglass Rodriguez

Stephanie Douglass Rodriguez, 41, of Bath, passed away suddenly on Thursday, December 7th with her mom, Sharon Douglass, and her mother’s life partner, Peter Small, by her side. 

A lifelong Bath native, Stephanie graduated from Morse High School in 2001. After high school, she pursued higher education at the University of Maine at Machias, where she graduated top of her class with a B.S. in Business.

Stephanie’s greatest joy in life was her daughter, Jodie. She cherished every moment she spent with Jodie, finding delight in their outings to Bath Heritage Days, sharing meals together at McDonald’s, and taking trips to Walmart. Theater was a shared passion of theirs, and Stephine was especially proud of Jodie’s involvement in local theater productions.

Stephanie loved music, theater, and video games. She was a steadfast friend who was always ready to lend a hand to those who were struggling, in spite of (or perhaps because of) the demons she herself battled.

Stephanie is predeceased by her maternal grandparents, Lorraine Douglass and Arthur Douglass Jr.; her paternal grandfather Henry Rodriguez; and her nephew Michael Rodriguez. She is survived by her daughter, Jodie Rodriguez; her mother, Sharon Douglass and her mother’s life partner, Peter Small; her father, Edward Rodriguez; her brother Marc Rodriguez, his wife Kendray, and their daughter Aurora; her sister Elizabeth Dean, her husband Evan, and their children Savannah and Edward; her paternal grandmother, Marjorie Galutira; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

A celebration of life will be held on Friday, December 15th from 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm at the Bath Area Senior Citizen Activity Center, 45 Floral Street.

A fund for Jodie’s future education has been established at Camden National Bank. Should friends desire, in lieu of flowers contributions can be sent in the name of Sharon Douglass
