Terri Lee Baker

Woolwich – Terri-Lee Lebel Baker, age 59, passed away on April 15, 2026 with her family by her side.  She was born on April 20, 1966, in Bath, daughter of Marge (Perkins) and John Lebel.  She was a graduate of Morse High School, class of 1984, and Beal Business College, class of 1986.  She met her husband, the love of her life, Clyde Baker, in 1986 and they were married 11 months later in 1987.  Because Clyde was in the Army, they were able to experience living in Germany and Tennessee before eventually relocating back to Maine, their forever home.

Her children: a daughter, Ashley, and a son, Justin, were her whole world.  She was very proud of the fact that she could call them her best friends, as well as her children.  She was also very happy to gain another “daughter,” Kendra, Justin’s wife.  Her favorite moments were spent with Clyde, Ashley, Justin, and Kendra.  Nothing made Terri light up more than spending time with her family.  She especially loved making memories at the family camp on Damariscotta Lake.  It is also where she cherished spending time with her parents before their passing.

She held various jobs throughout her life in clerical, medical transcription, and retail work, her last one being at Reny’s in Damariscotta.  She had to leave that position in 2022 when she was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer.  Her family would like everyone at Reny’s to know how much she enjoyed working there.  She regarded her coworkers as a second family and spoke of them often.

She is survived by her husband, Clyde, of 39 years, daughter Ashley, son Justin, daughter-in-law Kendra, sister Cindy, brother-in-law Norman, brother Gary, sister-in-law Andrea, brother-in-law Dennis, mother-in-law Sandra, father-in-law Spencer, as well as cousins, nieces, and nephews.  She also leaves behind an aunt, affectionately called Narnie, who was always like a second mom to her.

Her family will remember her twinkly smile, incredible hugs, and her ability to make everyone feel special. She was an incredible baker and cook and we cherished family dinners and game nights together, from Farkle to Cribbage to homemade games- Terri’s bright spirit made every gathering a warm, fun, competitive, and connecting experience. Her Christmas celebrations were unbeatable and the joy she brought to us all was all that was needed to get into the holiday spirit. Terri loved to laugh and her sense of humor was contagious, even everyday life was a cause of humor and celebration. Her home was warm (literally, from the woodstove) and welcoming, she made it a place everyone wanted to be. Music will always conjure memories of her: from the love of Elvis she inherited from her mother to her sharing a love of Fleetwood Mac with Ashley and Justin, and most of all her overall love for 80’s music in between. Her presence made an indelible impression on numerous lives; we will miss her every day.

The family would like to thank the staff at Mid Coast/Parkview Hospital Oncology in Brunswick, ME, as well as Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, MA, for their support and expertise through Terri’s difficult fight with cancer.

Arrangements are by Desmond Funeral Home in Bath.  Visitation will be Friday, April 24th from Noon to 1:30pm, with words from the family to follow at 1:30pm.  A graveside service will be held immediately following at Oak Grove Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to the American Cancer Society.
