Eugenie J. Lebourdais of Brunswick, Maine, passed away May 15, 2016 at Coastal Manor in Yarmouth, Me., with her family at her side.  She was born in Brunswick Jananuary 30, 1917, the daughter of Adelard and Mary Menard.  On January 27, 1945, she married George C. LeBourdais, also of Brunswick, at St. John the Baptiste Church.  The couple made their post WWII lives together in Brunswick, where they raised three wonderful children and several grand children and enriched all their lives with values o love and sharing.

As a young woman, she worked at the Varney Mill in Brunswick in their booking department.  She continued for many years in the account management field and account rep field for her husband and son at LeBourdais Service Station in Brunswick.

Eugenie was a Scout den mother for many years, and enjoyed sharing her craft skills with the children.  In the 1970's, she opened a ceramics studio on Mane St. in Brunswick, and taught classes to many aspiring artists.  She was an excellent seamstress and taught classes in sewing and styling to several generations of high school women.  She was also a longtime volunteer at Mid-Coast Hospital (formerly Regional Memorial) and was a member of the Hospital Auxiliary.

She was a member of TOPS - KOPS, more as a supporting member.  Her never failing encouragement of everyone was the reason she was always part of its mission.  As a member of Ladies of St Anne and the Miraculous Medal, she was tenacious in encouraging others in their commitment. 

In her later years, she enjoyed traveling with her husband, George, to Italy, France, Hawaii, and on cruises on the SS Norway cruise lines.

She was predeceased by her husband, George C. LeBourdais; six sisters: Lucienne Crouteau, Sister Irene Menard, Cecile Theberge, Antoinette Moreau, Gabriel Faveau, and Celine Marquis, and one brother, Marcel Menard.

Survivors include; a daughter, Mary Ellen Landry and her husband Denny of Yarmouth; two sons, Peter C. LeBourdais and wife Ann of Harpswell, and Paul G. LeBourdais of Brunswick.  Also 5 grandchildren; Allen C. Davis, Kirk A. Davis, George Philip LeBourdais, Marc Dunlap LeBourdais, and Laura Ann LeBourdais; four great-grandchildren,Allanah Davis, Lance Davis, Sawyer Davis, and Trista Toothaker; sister-in-law, Jane Menard and several nieces and nephews.  Her family would like to thank the staff of Coastal Manor in Yarmouth for their excellent and compassionate care.

Visiting hours will be held on Friday, May 20, 2016 from 4:00 - 6:00pm at Demers-Desmond Funeral Home, 34 Cushing Street, Brunswick.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, May 21, 2016 at 12:00pm at St. John the Baptist Church, 39 Pleasant Street, Brunswick. Burial will be held following mass at St. John's cemetery and reception to follow that at Daniel Stone's Inn, Restaurant, Brunswick.
