Edward Desmond

President

Ed was born and raised in Bath, graduating from Morse High School in 1973. He graduated from University of Maine in 1975 and Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science in 1976. He returned to Bath to work with his father and together acquired Demers Funeral Home, Brunswick in 1986.Ed married Debbie Plant and they are the proud parents of three sons, James, Andrew, and Peter. Ed feels it is a true privilege and honor to serve the people of the greater Bath-Brunswick area.

Deborah Desmond

Funeral Attendant

Deb was born and raised in Bath and graduated from Morse High School in 1974. She attended Becker Jr. College in Worcester, Ma. She married Ed in 1977 and has had the priveledge of raising their 3 sons, James, Andrew and Peter. They have four grandsons; Noah, Colin, Benjamin and Henry who are wonderful additions to the family. Deb has attended several classes on grief counseling and attended a Hair Design School,graduating in '93. She is a member of St. Mary's church and the Friends of Seguin Lighthouse. She currently works at R Salon in Fort Andros in Brunswick, as well as the funeral home office.

 

Debra Freeman

Funeral Director

Debra orginally from Saco, graduated from Thornton Academy in 1986. After high school attended Thomas College graduating with a degree in Business Management. Always interested in funeral service, Debra went back to school in 2000 and graduated from the Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science with a degree in Funeral Service. She has been with the funeral home since August 2009. 

Debra and her husband, Stephen, reside in Phippsburg. The couple have 4 children. She is an active member of the Bath Municipal Swing Band, and is a member of All Saint's Parish at St. Mary's Church.

James Desmond

Funeral Attendant

James was born and raised in the Bath-Brunswick area and graduated from Brunswick High school in 1999. He is the third generation to join the business and is Ed and Deborah's oldest son. He is a recent graduate of  American Academy McAllister Institute of Funeral Service in New York earning his degree in Mortuary Science. James lives in Brunswick with his wife Erin and their two boys Noah and Colin.

Stephen Freeman

Funeral Attendant

Stephen works with us on a part time basis.  He is a life long resident of Phippsburg.  Stephen is married to Debra and the couple have 4 children.
