Georgetown – Linda Sue (Williams) O’Leary, 58, of Five Islands Rd, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family after a long courageous battle with cancer on Friday Dec 16.

She was born on March 10, 1958, a daughter of Jack and Rose Williams. Linda grew up in Georgetown and attended Morse High School, class of 1977. She met the love of her life Peter O’Leary and they married on August 14, 1977.  Continuing to reside in Georgetown they started their family and together lovingly watched them grow.

Linda had many passions throughout her life, however none were more meaningful and precious to her than family. She could often be found sharing the company of her family and enjoying all the love that it brought, especially with her grandchildren for whom she had a special spot for. Linda had a big heart and showed it through by caring for the elderly. She also had a strong commitment to her faith and her own personal relationship with the lord.

She is predeceased by her mother; Rose.

She is survived by her husband Peter of 39 years, her father Jack Williams; her daughter, Amy Lang and her husband Jimbo; her son, John O’Leary; Sisters, Cyndy Crosson and husband Curtis, Jackie Leeman and her husband Scott; Grandchildren, Katahdin Rose Lang, Jack Oliver Lang. Nephew, Shawn Crosson; Nieces, Carly Crosson and Krysta Leeman all of Georgetown. As well as several other nieces & nephews, in-laws, aunts & uncles, cousins and many friends. She will truly be missed by all.

Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday December 20th at David E Desmond & Son funeral home 638 High Street Bath from 4-6pm. A memorial service will take place on Wednesday December 21st at Five Islands Baptist Church at 12:00pm and a gathering of friends and family will follow at the Georgetown Community Center.

Charitable contributions may be made in Linda’s name to Five Islands Baptist Church, Georgetown Community Center or the Georgetown Fire Department.
