Peter L. DeVore passed away very peacefully at his home on May 27, 2016 with his wife and his dog Diesel beside him.  Peter was the son of the late Paul and M. Catharin DeVore.  He was born in Bath on June 18, 1944.

Peter is survived by his wife, Nancy of 13 years; his children, Tange Hudgins and husband John of Sanford, son, William DeVore of Sanford and 1 grand daughter, Carma of Sanford; two step sons, Mark Hall and wife Linda of Knox and Matthew Hall of Shapleigh; four brothers, Dale DeVore and friend, Sue of New Hampshire, John DeVore and wife Vinnie of North Carolina, Terry DeVore of Sanford, and Paul DeVore and wife Karen of Sanford; two sisters, Cathy DeVore and Paula Knight and husband Jim of Woolwich; several nieces and nephews and a special aunt Linda of Bangor.

Peter worked for the Sanford Water District for 42 years, retiring in 2012, to enable him and his wife to spend winters in South Carolina.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, June 4, 2016 at 2:00pm at Bailey Cemetery, Sanders Road, Woolwich.
