We are so sorry for your loss. Alice was always so kind to us. We enjoyed her company at Mothers Day and other celebrations; she was always upbeat and cheerful. And what a lovely smile! Thank you for sharing your wonderful heartfelt tribute to her life. She certainly touched the lives of many.

To the Johnston family - my heartfelt sympathy
I know you do not know me but I wanted to write - my parents, Franklyn and Mary Morse lived across the street from Alice and Bob on Valley Road in Bath. My Dad worked in the tin shop at the Bath Iron Work all his life. After my Dad retired and couldn't do a lot around their house, Bob painted their living room and dining room for them.. Both Alice and Bob were so kind to my parents in their later years. Alice would frequently bring over a pie or some goodie she had baked. My folks passed in 2001 and 2004 respectively.

I am so very sorry to read of Alice's passing - she was a very sweet and kind lady.

Sincerely,

Loretta

I've lost dear Alice, my "sister friend" of 91 years. She held the heartstrings of all my Maine memories as a child and all the years that followed. I'll miss her and our weekly conversations. Tell me, how much does it cost to call Heaven?

To the family of Alice Johnston: Imagine the time when there will be no more old age and Alice will be young and vibrant as she once was. (Job 33:25) Imagine a time when there will be no more death and all those in the grave will be resurrected. (Isaiah 25:8; Acts 24:15) Very soon we won't have to use our imagination because these things will be a reality. We can put our faith and trust in God's word because we know that "God cannot lie." (Titus 1:2)

Sending loving thoughts to Alice's family at this sad time. I am thankful for the short time I knew her as my dear friend, as well and as my "other mother". While there is sadness, I am also rejoicing that her struggle is over and that she and Bonnie are together again.
