May the promise found at Isaiah 25:8 bring comfort in the loss of Charles. "He will swallow up death forever. And the sovereign LORD will wipe away the tears from all faces."

Dear Betty and the Entire Spies' Family,

Today we received the sad news regarding Charlie's passing. I worked for Charlie at Citibank for a number of years. He was a thoughtful man, full of integrity and determination. His leadership skills, professionalism and knowledge made him a mentor to me. My wife, Christine and I spent some good times with Charlie and you at different Citibank functions. (She and you would drive in together since we live on Powerville Road in The Township.) Also had a wonderful day at the "Spies' Retreat" on the Delaware River where you entertained many of the Citibank family. All memories of Charlie are filled with respect and admiration. May he RIP and may you and the family feel his love and guidance now and always.
Most sincerely,
Cliff Schmutz

To the Spies family,

Sending light and loving energy to all of you.

I thank you for the great memories at your home when I was a boy. Those times dad and I would stop over after hunting or to say hello. Or a good laugh from a fishing derbie at the school pond.

Love to you all

Dear Mrs Spies and Family,
I was very sad to read of Mr Spies death. He was a wonderful man and I have a lot of fond memories of him starting with days at the Jersey Shore when we were all kids to Holiday cocktail parties on Brookview Road.
You are all in my thoughts and prayers.
Sincerely,
Patty Ferrante Ferreri

Sorry for your loss, Charley was a wonderful man and showed me incredible kindness as a child. I cherish the memories of our times together, and have tried to act like him as a father. It is the memory of a man of his caliber that will help to ease your pain in the time to come.

Dear Betty, I was so sorry to hear about Charles. I just wanted to say how much my boys, Peter, Christopher and Gordon Liberatore enjoyed fishing and vacationing in the keys with Hute, Bob, Uncle Charles and many other Spies from year to year. The boys and Sam used to love to go to the pig roasts on the Delaware. I know I can speak for Lucio too when I say how our family enjoyed being with the Spies families whatever the occasion. Please let your children know we are all thinking of all of you at this time. We know how hard it is to lose someone you love but having wonderful memories to share makes it a little easier.
Love from the Liberatores and Kidas.
Sincerely,
Suzi
