May each of Elaine's loving friends and family find comfort in the wonderful memories she left them with. My mother, Char Johnson, was a close friend of Elaine's, and I feel such admiration for her from all of the kind things my mom has always said about Elaine over the years. She was a true blessing in both of my parent's lives. Elaine is and will be deeply missed. My deepest sympathies to all of her family.

I could write a book about Elaine. She was my mentor and very good friend during our assignment for 5 years to Brunswick, ME, while my husband, Greg, served in the U.S.Navy. Our Tupperware meetings in her home and trips to Portsmouth were all a part of our relationship. She adored her husband, her sons, and her friends. Once we moved away, there was never a year that went by that we did not exchange words/letters and cards on birthdays, anniversaries and Christmas. It was just June of this year (when it would have been her anniversary) that we last spoke. She never complained and had the sharpest wit about her, at all times. It was our last conversation that she told me she just didn't feel good! Fortunately, she and Bazin visited us once in Virginia Beach, and we visited her last at her home in Bath after Bazin passed. We picked up our laughs and conversation as though we had never parted. Her days now, as the special person she always was, will be spent with her "special" friend/husband. We shall meet again one day Elaine, and I will be looking for you! Our condolences to each son, their significant other, and all the grand and great grandchildren. We were ALL blessed to have had Elaine in our lives. Love, Char & Greg Johnson

Jay and Fran, Tom and I were deeply saddened to hear about your Mom's passing. I will never forget the kindness that both your parents shared with me from the very first day that I met them. I always looked forward to seeing them when Tom and I would visit his parents in Bath. Although you will certainly miss her, the memories that you shared will always stay close to your heart. Love and prayers to you all, Debbie and Tom Underwood

Jay and Fran, so sorry for the pain you are feeling. At least you know she is with your dad now, Jay. I was just thinking of you today because I turned the calendar to Oct. and saw where I have your upcoming birthday marked. Will say a prayer for her and for strength for the family.

To the Lemont family and friends,
Elaine was such a good person, I will miss my phone conversations with her. She and my Mother were cousins and on hers & Bazin's visits to California to see Kevin they would drive up the coast to see my parents and our family. They were present at our two sons Eagle Scout Court of Honors. She had a great memory as she would always call me around my birthday.
Thank you Jay for calling us and speaking with me.
With love,
Dennis & Sharon Carson, Santa Cruz, Ca.
