Susan/Tom, I'm so sorry to here of the passing of your Mom. Believe me she was a treasure, her and Francis Perry were inseparable and it seemed every time I saw one the other was nearby and they loved to tantalize me, all in good fun. I'll never have all the words to tell you how much I appreciated talking to Evelyn, full of laughter and advice when asked. She got me through some tough times earlier in adult life just by listening, and she loved seeing me and my boys in church on Sunday mornings as much I loved seeing her. She will forever be in my thoughts.
Again, my condolences.
Harold

Dear Susan and Family,
We were so sad to hear of your mom's passing. She was so lucky to have lived a wonderful life in her childhood home. Seeing her in her garden reminded me of my folks, always nurturing and loving. A mother's love transcends all and she will always watch over you. We wish you all peace and happy memories to comfort you. Sincerely, Elaine and John

Evelyn was a woman I have always admired for her honesty, fairness, kindness and professionalism. She had faith in me to hire me in 1965, fresh out of college, to work at Hyde Windlass, and I learned so much under her leadership. No matter how many years passed in between seeing Evelyn, she always remembered me with a smile and hug, which meant so much. She added so much to her family, her profession, and her community, and will be truly missed. Thank you, Evelyn, for all you taught me. May you rest in peace. You lived a long and beautiful life.

Evelyn was a pleasure to see and talk with whenever we met up. Saw her last at the hospital waiting on people. Got a big hug and a nice chat. She brought so many smiles into the lives of those who knew her. A class act! I will miss her.

I am so sad to learn of Evelyn's passing. I am happy I was able to see her a few times the past couple of years when I was in West Bath and especially to have her come with me to my parents burial and service this past July. I was so happy she was there. I will miss her and am very saddened she will not be there to visit as I had hoped to see her this Spring. I wish I could thank her for always coming out to see me when I was at the house in West Bath with her wonderful smile and her calling out "Cynthia is that you?" - Evelyn will always have a special place in my heart.

Evelyn was our dear friend and a great neighbor. We felt privileged to talk with her nightly. (A wonderful ritual we will always hold dear and are just learning how to release). Evelyn was a truly honest person, and great conversationalist who entertained us with her endless stories about everything - we’re sorry to have those come to an end. We miss her so much. This is a difficult time for all of us who, like her, thought she’d live forever. We love you Evelyn and feel blessed to have known you while we had you on this earth!

I would be remiss not to send sympathy's from the Farnham family of Bath. I only met Mrs Desmond once, or twice, but my father, Ray Farnham, always spoke so kindly of her and her wonderful work ethics. He knew her for years and she was always an example of honesty, thoughtfulness and kindness which he deeply appreciated, and passed along to us, his children.

Condolences to Evelyn's family. I've known her many years, but didn't to get to see her very often, as I live in Louisiana, but we were Facebook friends. I considered her a friend from the first time we met. God Bless!

Evelyn is one of my all time favorites! she was one of my biggest fans . . I first met Ev in 1981 and she was a huge influence in my early years at the shipyard. Over the yrs she always remained in touch with me , much better than I did with her but that's who she was... a very special lady! Not insignificant is the fact we both share the same birthday, Sept 11, and she never ever forgot our birthday! God bless you Ev , you will be missed.

How sad to have to say goodbye to such a beautiful and wonderful person as Evelyn. Since the day I met her over 40 years ago when she interviewed me for my position with FCCU we have always shared a special bond. I will miss you forever! My sincere condolences to her family and friends. She was special and outstanding in every way. Rest in Peace Evelyn. I love you! So grateful for our recent visit. You couldn't see leaving your childhood home and I hear that never came to pass. God welcomed you home! xox

It is never easy to accept the loss of our loved ones. The Bible makes this promise that Jehovah God is close to the broken hearted and he saves those crushed in spirit. (Psalms 34:18) God can give your family and friends the strength to cope even with death. (Philippians 4:13) I would like to express my heartfelt sympathies to your family for the death of your loved one.
