Georgetown - Frances Mary Fossett, 90, of Georgetown, passed away on December 16, 2014. Frances was born in Portland, Maine on January 30, 1924, the daughter of James & Albina (Arsenault) Rollins.

Frances was a homemaker, she took pride in raising her son and daughter, and taking care of her family. There was nothing more important to her. She married her best friend, Harlon Fossett, and the couple enjoyed traveling the world together during his military career.  Although she felt grateful for being able to experience the world, she always longed for the time she would return to her family in her beloved Maine. In 1978 she did this.

She is predeceased by her husband, Harlon; her daughter, Lynda Colby; a brother, Theodore Rollins; a sister, Diana Cooper; and a great grandson, Nathanial Fossett.

She leaves behind her son, Harold of Shenandoah County, VA; a grandson, Kenneth Fossett and his wife Tammy, of Ashburn, VA; a granddaughter, Cassandra Wright and her husband Richard, of Dale City, VA; three brothers, Norman and Kenneth Rollins, of Manchester, Maine, and Clayton Rollins, of Augusta, Maine; and four great grandsons, Alex, Zachary, Jacob and Simon.

At Frances’ request there was no visitation or funeral service. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
