I am sorry for your loss but I was truly blessed every time Gary delivered to our shop. Matthew 18:20

He taught me scripture and we discussed it every week. It was our midweek church.

I want to express my sincerest sympathy to the Cummings family because of losing Gary in death. When our loved ones fall asleep in death, the pain and grief seems unbearable. Our loving God Jehovah (Psalm 83:18) understands how we feel and he comforts us by means of his word the Bible. Psalm 34: 18 tells us: "Jehovah is close to the brokenhearted; He saves those who are crushed in spirit." Jehovah invites you to throw all your burdens on him and he will sustain you in your time of grief. None of us are guaranteed tomorrow, but we are all guaranteed a resurrection. We wanted to share our condolences with Gary’s family. It is never easy to have to say goodbye to a loved one. We are sure that Jacob will be able to continue Gary's legacy with the S10. The pain of loss can feel unbearable. Our Creator promises us that one day this pain will be just a memory. That beautiful promise can be found at Revelation 21:3,4. Our pain and suffering will be a thing of the past, and we can cry tears of joy as we welcome back the ones that we love so much. We hope you find comfort in those promises.

Please accept my sincere condolences during this time of grief. My hope is that the words of Christ Jesus be of comfort, when he stated that "the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out" (John 5: 28, 29). We can also take comfort in God's personal promise to "wipe out every tear" and that soon, even "death will be no more" (Revelation 21: 4).

I am very sorry to hear of Gary's passing. He was a friend and fellow racer at Oxford. Gary, (and Pete LaBonte) were good friends and I spent a great deal of time with them at the track. Gary was very helpful to me when I began racing and we spent time between rounds trying to figure out the best way to win the next round. He will be missed by the entire racing community. My sincere condolences to all of his family and friends.

What a beautiful photo and obituary - captured the essence of who he was. I sent you a message, Lorica, off FB last night but wanted to reiterate here how his song, "Give Me Jesus" that he sang at the Hixon concert a few months back deeply touched my heart - what Godly devotion and faith that he demonstrated. In my book, that will always be "his song." Amidst struggles, he knew exactly where his strength came from and clearly it was 'well with his soul." I also told you then that I was in awe of the love he showed towards you - it was truly touching and inspiring. I know this is a terribly painful time for you, but I hope knowing that he is "just away" and you know where he is and who he is with will provide some kind of peace.
