Lucy and family, We are so saddened to hear that Gertrude has passed. We were so happy to see her in August and so glad that we were able to come to Maine . We have so many memories and she was thought about very often. Always had thoughts of her and Patti walking the block and often wondered who was taking care of who. Patti loved her so much. Gertrude made her feel very special. She was a sweet lady and John and I will miss seeing her when we come to Maine again.

Louise, I am so sorry to learn of your Mom's passing. I have wonderful memories of being in your home, and your Mom trying to guide you and I through our early adulthood. She was a remarkable, warm and caring woman. You and your family are truly blessed to have had her for so long. May happy memories sustain you through the difficult times ahead.

I always loved visiting Madame Casey. The last time I visited, I took my mother with me and they had so much to talk about that they never stopped talking to each other the whole time we were there. Brian, Louise and I caught up on things while they talked. It was a wonderful afternoon visit and one I will always cherish.

Had heard my dear husband speak of all or you many times. I wish to send you my prayers and sympathy. Was notified by Louise Head.

I last visited with my cousin, Gertrude, I believe it was 2004 but did correspond from time to time over the years after that. She was a very dear person who shared many interesting stories about family members that I barely knew because of a difference in our ages. I missed Gertrude after she moved from her home near Bridge Street, Topsham, and we lost touch. She is without a doubt in Heaven and free of any pain and suffering. I extend special condolences to my Cousins Georgette and Viola, and to Gertrude's children and grand children. You all have my love and my prayers.
