Marilyn D. Wright, 88, formerly of the Moorings in Bath, peacefully passed away January 14, 2017, at Horizons Living Center in Brunswick. 

Marilyn was born in Farmington, Maine July 7, 1928, to Carroll & Dorris (Hardy) Wing, she moved to North Bath at an early age and graduated from Morse High School in 1947. 

October 24, 1948, Marilyn married Chester A. Wright in North Bath.  She worked for the Bath School system in Food Service for many years and later retired from Auerbach Shoe Co. in Brunswick, Maine. 

She was a member of Elm Street First Baptist Church, being very active in the Ladies Sewing Circle for many years.

She was predeceased by her husband Chester in 2004 and brothers, Arthur, Cleon, Calvin and Carroll “Burt”

She is survived by a daughter, Pamela Ward and her husband James of West Bath; a granddaughter, Gena Reed of Brunswick; a grandson, Andrew Ward and his wife Erin of Derwood, Maryland; six great grandchildren, Cameron McNamara, Nicholas Reed, Abigail Reed, Brooke ward, Emma Ward and Owen Ward; a sister, Claire Lutz of North Bath and several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, May 22, 2017 at 11:00am at Oak Grove Cemetery, Bath.
